Pierce Brosnan and Keely Shaye Smith attended the 2023 Met Gala together on Monday evening and the couple were dressed to impress.
The James Bond star, 69, and his wife of 22 years, journalist and author, Keely, looked stunning together on the famous stairs at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
Pierce posed for photos in a black floral printed suit which he paired with a white shirt and a black bow tie.
He finished off the look with shiny black shoes and a pair of red tinted glasses while Keely, 59, complimented her husband in a black sequin gown and a sheer diamonte cape over the top.
Keely kept her jewellery simple with a pair of pearl drop earrings and a pear ring.
The 2023 Met Gala returned to The Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday as a host of famous faces walked the iconic steps.
This year, the ball's theme is Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty. The late German designer, who was Chanel's long-time creative director, died in 2019 aged 85.
Karl sparked controversy over the years with his negative take on the #MeToo movement and his opposition to same-sex marriage.
"I’m against it for a very simple reason: In the 60s they all said we had the right to the difference. And now, suddenly, they want a bourgeois life,' he told Vice of same-sex marriage.
"It’s difficult to imagine—one of the papas at work and the other at home with the baby. How would that be for the baby? I don’t know. I see more lesbians married with babies than I see boys married with babies. And I also believe more in the relationship between mother and child than in that between father and child."
The designer later showed support for same-sex marriage at his spring 2013 Chanel haute couture show.
Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintor runs and hosts the annual event with Penelope Cruz, Dua Lipa, Michaela Coel and also Roger Federer co-hosted the 2023 event.
Karl's beloved cat Choupette, was invited to the iconic night but did not attend, writing on Instagram : "Many people invited me to walk the red carpet of the #METGALA2023 in tribute to Daddy, but we preferred to stay peacefully & cozy at home. We pay tribute to my Daddy every day since his parting and we are very moved to see one more day dedicated to him.”
Jared Leto, Doja Cat, Lil Nas X and Chloe Fineman all paid homage to the feline.
