Shocking pictures have shown the damaged caused to two cars which were set alight during Bonfire night in Salford. Police said they found the cars, which were scorched and blackened from the fires, on Sunday (November 6).
The vehicles, uncovered beside the playing fields on Duchy Road, were found as police were 'picking up the pieces after a night of chaos'. Emergency services were called out to over 200 dangerous incidents on Bonfire night across the region, which included lit fireworks being hurled at vehicles and even posted through letter boxes.
Greater Manchester Police's Salford division shared the images of the two vehicles, revealing that at around 8pm, three cars had reported to being driven at speed around the Kersal area.

Police said the vehicles, which were taken for a 'joy ride' were reported to have been crashing into each other before two were found to have been lit up in a fire and abandoned.
The post read: "Today we picked up the pieces after a night of chaos. We are aware that most of you fantastic people are law abiding and dabbled with the odd sparkler last night. Meanwhile some (insert your own word here) Individuals... decided to go for a joy ride and causing the pictured results to two of the three vehicles shown.
"Around 8pm on the evening of 05/11/2022, three cars were reported to be driving at speed and putting both pedestrians and other road users in great danger. The drivers are believed to have been driving in the area of Kersal where they ended up on Duchy Road, Salford.
"The vehicles were reported to be crashing into each other, which in any ordinary circumstances would of caused significant injuries. Two vehicles were found to be burnt out outside the playing fields on Duchy Road. If you are choosing to carry out this immature dangerous behaviour at the wheel, with or without injury you will be prosecuted. This could land you disqualified or even imprisonment. You are putting other people's lives in danger.
"To those who do not wish to report this behaviour, the standards you walk past are the standards you are willing to accept. This is your community. You have the opportunity to call these criminals out and make your streets safer. Were sick of this activity as much as you are so lets fill the cells together. This could be your car, this could result in the lives of your loved ones in danger."
