KING Charles was presented with the Honours of Scotland – the country’s crown jewels – at a service at St Giles’ Cathedral in Edinburgh today.
The event – which has been branded Charles's 'second' or 'mini-coronation' – saw a crowd of royal fans and anti-monarchy protesters gather outside St Giles' Cathedral on the Royal Mile, where the ceremony took place.
But the rest of the Royal Mile, thronged by barriers, was noticeably more quiet.
Given the extensive barriers pictured, it begged the question of whether attendance was as high as was expected.
