Pictures show the extent of the damage after a car ploughed into a home, leaving the front wall and windows 'collapsing', according to eyewitnesses. The crash caused 'significant structural damage', emergency services confirmed after they rushed to the scene in Hazel Grove, Stockport, last night (August 12).
A man has been arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage while drink driving. The car collided with the home and went into the front wall, bystanders told the M.E.N, who said 'the whole porch has gone'.
New images show the destruction caused to the porch area of the home, with tape still surrounding the scene.

Police, firefighters and Electricity North West were called to the scene in Peveril Drive at around 4.40pm on Friday. Officers taped off the road for hours as an investigation was launched and attempts were made to make the scene safe.
"The house has collapsed at the front," one neighbour added.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "At around 4.40pm on Friday 12 August 2022, police were called to a report of damage to a property on Peveril Drive, Stockport involving a vehicle. Emergency services attended the scene to assist with the removal of the vehicle and to inspect the property to ensure its safety.
"There are believed to be no life threatening injuries. A 57-year-old male has been arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage whilst drink driving and remains in custody."
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: "At half past five on Friday afternoon firefighters attended a road traffic collision on Peveril Drive, Hazel Grove, Stockport. Three fire engines and the Technical Rescue Unit special appliance attended the incident where a vehicle had collided with a house and caused significant structural damage.
"Mercifully there were no injuries at this incident. Specialist firefighters experienced in very complex rescue scenarios worked alongside Electricity Northwest, Stockport Council’s building inspector, and other colleagues to shore up the damaged house, isolate gas and electricity supplies and prevent further structural collapse while the vehicle was removed."
