Helen Flanagan has shared that she has finally set a date to get married after getting engaged six years ago. The former Coronation Street actress said 'Yes' to partner Scott Sinclair back in 2018 and they have now been together for 13 years.
Preston North End footballer Scott popped the question at Disneyland. The former Celtic star announced the happy news at the time on his Instagram account by sharing a snap of the romantic moment he got down on one knee. "She said YES!" Scott gushed in the caption, alongside a shot of him and Helen in front of the Cinderella's castle at Disneyland.
Helen, who was pregnant with their second child at the time, could be seen throwing her hands to her head in shock as a beaming Scott presents her with the box containing the ring.
The soap star, who is known for playing Corrie's Rosie Webster, and Scott now have three children together - daughters Matilda, seven, and Delilah, four, and one-year-old son Charlie.
And after planning on getting married in 2020, the couple had to put their date back after "getting lazy" with planning. But Bury-born Helen says the pair have now set some plans for their big day.
"I have set a date. I'm so picky. I finally found my wedding venue," she told The Mirror. "I don't want to give it away, but basically everybody wants this venue. I think what it is as well as me and Scott have been together for so long. We've been together for 13 years now.
"I've been with Scott since I've was 19, I'm 32 now, so I think we are probably a little bit laid back because it does feel like a marriage anyway."
And the couple's three children will very much be involved in the special day. I do want my special day with my kids now and everything," she added. "So I'm looking at 2024 and now I've finally found my venue as I'm very, very picky."
Back in August Helen shared with fans about embarking on a 'new chapter 'in her life as she turned 32. She told her Instagram followers that she had enjoyed a 'lovely weekend' as she posted snaps of herself with her three adorable children. Her daughters Matilda and Delilah wore cute pink cake patterned dresses as they posed alongside their mum with a pink, purple and blue balloon arch.
And the actress proudly cradled her son Charlie, who she welcomed with Scott Sinclair last March. "Lovely weekend celebrating my 32nd birthday and a new chapter," said Helen. And the birthday girl looked sensational in a corset dress and sparkly bow-detail heels as Matilda blew her mum a kiss in one of the photos.
Helen played Kevin Webster and Sally Metcalfe's eldest daughter, and Sophie Webster's older sister on and off in Corrie since she was a child. She originally took on the role aged nine in 2000 until 2012 and reprised the role in 2017, before going on maternity leave in June 2018 and hasn't been seen back on the cobbles since.
Helen recently enjoyed a reunion with a couple of her former Coronation Street co-stars. The soap beauty took a picture of herself with Jack P Shepherd and Colson Smith, who play David Platt and Craig Tinker, as they caught up on a train journey.
