Pick your Leeds United XI for Real Sociedad friendly as Jesse Marsch faces minutes decision

Leeds United face their second La Liga opponent in a week as they prepare to host Real Sociedad at Elland Road on Friday night, with just under two weeks until their return to Premier League football.

The Whites will look to capitalise on their 2-1 win over Elche CF who they overcame thanks to two late goals from Joe Gelhardt and Mateusz Klich after going 1-0 down in the first half.

Sociedad, on the other hand, will want to better their own first winter friendly result which was a 0-0 draw against Rayo Vallecano - although they'll be a tough opponent for Leeds as they currently sit third in La Liga, only behind Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Forward Alexander Sorloth and midfielder Brais Mendez both have eight goals each this season, along with former Manchester City midfielder David Silva set to face Leeds once again.

As for Marsch, the squad that faced Elche a week ago remain at his disposal with new additions to the squad on top as Rasmus Kristensen, Tyler Adams and Brenden Aaronson all return from international duty at the World Cup.

The trio all returned to training this week following their exits from the tournament, and will be key additions to the squad as Marsch prepares his line-up which could see a variety of changes from last week's bout against Elche. Patrick Bamford, Illan Meslier, Kristoffer Klaesson, Luis Sinisterra, Archie Gray and Stuart Dallas all remain sidelined.

The American might use the opportunity to give some vital minutes to those unlikely to start against Man City and could see the likes of Wilfried Gnonto and Sam Greenwood get a run-in up front while easing the international trio back into the club environment.
