Yayoi Kusama’s most iconic artworks featuring her signature polka dots

Yayoi Kusama Tokyo

The celebrated contemporary artist Yayoi Kusama has died aged 97 in a Tokyo hospital. Her pieces were displayed in major museums across the globe.

Recurring shapes formed her distinctive trademark, above all dots that enlivened canvases or shone as luminous balls and specks of light within her installations.
