Georgia football hosted its annual pro day on March 15. The 2023 edition of the pro day featured back-to-back national championship winners like quarterback Stetson Bennett, defensive lineman Nolan Smith, and defensive lineman Jalen Carter.
Stetson Bennett had a solid performance at his pro day, but did not do a ton to elevate his draft stock. Bennett had some nice throws and a couple of incompletions.
Jalen Carter took most of the headlines at Georgia’s pro day. Carter only participated in positional drills and showed up heavier than at the NFL combine. However, Carter’s teammates and coaches defended him and his character.
The pro day was critical for players like offensive lineman Warren Ericson, who was not invited to the NFL combine.
95 total NFL coaches and scouts from all 32 teams attended the event. Falcons head coach Arthur Smith was among the head coaches in attendance.
