Fans of the Boston Celtics who had heard the news that not only Kristaps Porzingis, but Al Horford and Luke Kornet for their tilt vs. the Orlando Magic at TD Garden Friday night likely did not expect a win for their favorite team.
But the Celtics had other plans for the long, athletic ball club that has given them trouble in the past, unlocking a sleeker, faster, and — obviously — smaller style of play previously unseen for any long stretch of the NBA’s 2023-24 season. Instead of getting thrashed when undermanned, Boston turned the tables to do the thrashing, beating up on the Magic to the tune of 128-111.
