Games between the Boston Celtics and Golden State Warriors have been intense regardless of where the tilt is played or what players are available to suit up. And Tuesday night’s contest for Boston at Golden State started out in character with the Celtics carrying a 65-62 lead into the half after two closely-contested quarters.
But the Warriors fought back, forcing overtime after walking down a 17-point deficit, winning the game 132-126 as Stephen Curry came alive in the second half of the game despite playing with five fouls for much of the period. On a night where the Celtics went just 29.3% from deep, a fourth-quarter collapse driven by bad habits reemerging at the worst moment couldn’t be overcome.
