The Los Angeles Dodgers faced off against the Los Angeles Angels in a spring training exhibition on Tuesday night, marking the first time Shohei Ohtani took the field against his former team.
Ahead of the game, Ohtani shared a hug with Angels star and former longtime teammate Mike Trout. It was certainly a sight to behold, with Trout wearing Anaheim red, while Ohtani was rocking his new Dodger Blue uniform.
The pair had spent the past six seasons as teammates, dating back to when Ohtani made the move to MLB in 2018. They combined to win three AL MVPs over the last five years, and although they never reached the postseason together, they provided plenty of fond memories for the fan base.
