Phillip Schofield opened up about his grief surrounding his father's death during the latest phone in on This Morning.
During Thursday's edition of the ITV daytime show, Phillip, 60, and his co-host Holly Willoughby invited viewers to call in with any worries related to suicide.
The duo were joined by CALM CEO Simon Gunning and his colleague Wendy, who were on hand to give out advice.
One woman using the name 'Natasha' phoned in and explained that she had lost her father to suicide nine years ago, and is still struggling with the loss.
"I lost my dad nine years ago to suicide, it was completely unexpected," she explained as Holly and Phil listened.
"I feel like nothing's gonna get better unless my dad comes back, but that's never gonna happen," Natasha continued, before confirming that she speaks about her dad all the time to her seven-year-old son.
"It does help, but at the same time, like with his birthday, I get upset because he's not here."
Phillip was keen to try and make Natasha feel better about her situation and sympathised with her.
"And the thing is that, you know he's still here, he's still there, he lives on through the family, he lives on through the children, lives on through achievements he might have had.
My dad died in 2008 and I still miss him horribly," he admitted, before adding: "But we still talk about him all the time and he's still around."
Phillip's dad Brian sadly passed away 14 years ago from a long-standing heart condition, which led to the presenter taking some time off from hosting This Morning.
The latest phone in came after Holly and Phillip confirmed they had teamed up with mental health charity CALM for their latest campaign, which shines a light on the true face of suicide.
This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV and ITV Hub.
