Phillip Schofield says it's 'weird' as Dancing On Ice final cancelled this weekend

Phillip Schofield is enjoying a relaxing Sunday off in the sunshine as Dancing On Ice takes a break from ITV this weekend. The final episode of the 2022 series was due to air on Sunday, March 20 but has been postponed due to the FA Cup coverage.

The 59-year-old, who presents the show every Sunday night with presenter and friend Holly Willoughby, said it was "weird" to have the afternoon off away from Dancing On Ice as he soaked up the warm spring weather.

Sharing an update with his three million followers, Phil posed in a grey hoodie as he relaxed outdoors. "Weird without Dancing On Ice but a lovely sunny Sunday and @f1 next," he captioned the selfie.

Dancing On Ice has been bumped from the schedule tonight to make way for the Nottingham Forest v Liverpool match, which will air in Dancing On Ice's usual slot. Kick off is at 6pm with coverage starting from 5:15pm on the channel.

It means this year's three finalists will have more time to train on the ice rink as they prepare for the 2022 finale now on Sunday, March 27. Still left in the competition are Brendan Cole, Kimberly Wyatt and Regan Gascoigne.

Dancing On Ice has reminded ITV viewers that the show will not air on Sunday, March 20. In a statement, they said: "Don't forget we're not on this weekend because of the footy, but it gives our couples an extra week to train like never before and work on their amazing Final routines!" Adding: "We'll be back on the ice for the Final, next Sunday at 7pm!" For more showbiz and television stories, get our newsletter here.
