Phillip Schofield revealed that This Morning was forced into making a change in order to get its 'headline act' on the show. The presenter and co-host Holly Willoughby were back on screens for this last show of the week.
On Thursday's edition of the ITV show, the hosting duo were joined by two of the stars of Netflix's Heartstopper. Kit Connor and Joe Locke star as Nick Nelson and Charlie Spring in the British coming-of-age romance.
The new series, based on the Heartstopper graphic novels by Alice Oseman, follows two schoolboys as they work through their feelings for each other. It marks Joe's screen debut having beat a whopping 10,000 other candidates for the role of Charlie while Kit may be recognised for playing a young Elton John in the biopic Rocketman as well as other UK TV shows.

Kit and Joe appeared on the famous sofa to chat to Holly and Phil about the show as well as the overwhelming reaction it has received.
But while the show is getting rave reviews, with a rare 100 percent Rotten Tomatoes score, things are still pretty normal for the actors as Phillip revealed: "We've put you on early today in the show because we probably would have saved you until much later as a headline act type of thing.
"However, we've put you on early because you've got to go and study for your A-Levels," as the actors nodded to confirm, Phil continued: "So life does carry on and come July you are free."
Speaking about getting the role, Joe said: "I’d not done any professional acting before. They did an open casting call and I think around 10,000 people auditioned and you didn’t need an agent, you just sent in a self-tape and then I got a recall.
"I thought, even if I don’t get it, that’s quite cool – and then I got another recall! I thought, 'Oh, what if this actually happens?' Then I ended up getting the part and it was just, all my dreams came true."
Kit also discussed the moment he made Olivia Coleman cry. He explained how before each scene they'd read through what they were about to do, "And suddenly, Olivia started crying and at first I was thinking, 'Oh God, she's really good. I need to step up my game massively,'" the Netflix star recalled as the hosts laughed.
"I was seriously worried at that point but other people told me afterwards it was because it's such a beautifully written scene." And Phillip went on to note about the scene in question: "[That scene] been used by some fans to help them come out to their parents hasn’t it?"
"There was a beautiful tweet that came out, from a fan, who used the show to come out," Kit explained. "It was basically talking about after showing quite an important scene in the show, at the end of the show with my character, they essentially used that to come out to their parents."
