Phillip Schofield looked gobsmacked on Thursday's This Morning as Vanessa Feltz recalled a time she and her fiancé fed each other cherry pie.
Phillip, 60, and his co-host Holly Willoughby had invited radio presenter Vanessa into the ITV studio to lead the latest phone in.
Vanessa and Ben Ofoedu have been engaged since 2006 and the former Big Breakfast host decided to share how they keep the fire alive in their romance.
It all began as Holly read out a query from a caller named Christina who said that the spark has vanished from her relationship and asked Vanessa, 60, for some advice.
"Well, you have to rekindle, you have to do all of those things that made you feel all those lovely feelings at the beginning," Vanessa advised.
"You wanna get back to the first 12 weeks and those feelings," she continued before recalling a story about her and Ben.
"In my relationship, once, we went for this walk, just a long sort of hand-holding walk in a London park and we were holding this pie, like a cherry pie, and I was feeding him a little bit of pie and he was feeding me a little bit of pie and we were looking at the herons and the ducks," Vanessa detailed.
The camera then cut to Phillip's face and he looked rather stunned at Vanessa's anecdote.
But Vanessa ignored his shocked expression and continued: "And it was romantic and it was one of those things that you don't necessarily do when you live together do you? Why do you need to that?"
She then added: "And I think another thing to absolutely rev up is the kissing part, the snogging, it often goes by the wayside. When you're having full on sex you don't bother with the snogging so much!"
Holly giggled nervously at Vanessa's sexual remark before commenting: "Put the pie down first though!"
"No not necessarily!" Vanessa fired back as Phillip shouted: "Don't be so conventional!"
"Wrong wrong, don't put the pie down! Incorporate the pie or any food of your choice," Vanessa advised.
This Morning viewers tuning in at home were also stunned by Vanessa's comments and took to Twitter to mock her.
"I can just imagine what my husband would say if I wanted to walk hand in hand in the local park whilst feeding him pie! #ThisMorning," one person said.
Another tweeted: "I'm off to have a shower and throw up after hearing Vanessa talk about snogging and pies #ThisMorning."
Someone else moaned: "Alright enough now Vanessa, it's almost lunchtime I don't want to be put off #ThisMorning."
And a fourth person added: "Vanessa's Cherry Pie story never happened #ThisMorning."
This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV and ITV Hub.
