Phillip Schofield gives This Morning warning as he is 'doing it alone'

Phillip Schofield jokingly warned fans that he may be missing from today's episode of This Morning.

Taking to Instagram he said that he was left to carry out a gruelling task "on his own". He shared an image of a weight station at the gym to his Stories with his 2.9million followers.

The 60-year-old presenter added text saying that he might be missing from the ITV daytime show, which he hosts alongside Holly Willoughby. He joked that due to his trainer's absence during his workout he might end up trapped.

The caption read: "Trainer on holiday so I'm doing this on my own... If I'm not on @thismorning tomorrow you know I'm trapped under the fecking bar!"

Phil and Holly returned to the This Morning studio late after their winter break this year. Up until January 9, they were replaced by Alison Hammond, Dermot O'Leary, Jose Gibson, Craig Doyle and Andi Peters - despite fans expecting to see Holly and Phillip back at the helm of the popular programme on January 3.

It seems that Phil has spent his winter break in Copenhagen, Denmark. He shared a post to his Instagram of him beaming into the camera, wearing a gold masquerade mask with a smart suit.
