Phillip Schofield ‘completely erased’ from The Cube attraction after ITV scandal

Phillip Schofield has faced yet another setback after reportedly being removed as the face of The Cube visitor attraction in Manchester.

The former This Morning presenter, who hosted The Cube game show from 2009 to 2021, had featured in a welcome video at the attraction, explaining how it all worked.

But he’s now been replaced by Colin McFarlane who is known for doing voice overs on the show. “Phillip has been completely erased,” an insider told the Daily Star.

Evening Standard has contacted Schofield’s representative and the attraction for comment.

This comes amid ITV’s ongoing investigation into a scandal, in which he admitted having an “unwise but not illegal” affair with a much younger male colleague.

In May he stepped down from the show, which he co-hosted alongside Holly Willoughby.

Willoughby had hosted This Morning alongside Schofield from 2009 onwards. Despite the scandal, This Morning has been nominated for best daytime show at the National Television Awards — which take place this week.

Schofield and Willoughby had been longlisted for the best TV presenter prize, alongside fellow This Morning hosts Hammond, O’Leary, Rylan Clark and Martin Lewis, but only Hammond and Lewis made the cut on the shortlist.

Willoughby made made her return to This Morning on Monday following an extended absence period over the summer.
