Phillip Schofield can't hide disgust as he blasts 'horrid' food on This Morning

Phillip Schofield couldn't hide his disgust as he blasted one item on Phil Vickery's menu today on This Morning.

60-year-old Phillip made a face as he joined co-host Holly Willoughby and discovered they would be eating couscous later on in the programme.

Chef Phil teased his juicy spiced lamb kebabs, but he upset Schofe when he revealed what he would be serving on the side, The Mirror reports.

"I’ve got some sort of kebabs here that we’re going to play around with, along with a dip which I had in a restaurant a couple of weeks ago," he said.

"Also, couscous! A lot of people don’t like it, but if you get a lot of flavours into it -”

Phillip interjected: "Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on. What did you just say? Couscous? It’s horrid, it should be packaging not food!"

As he complained, Holly pointed out: "It’s not as bad as polenta, you hate polenta!"

Phillip made a face again as he conceded that polenta is even worse, while Holly agreed that at least it was a "one-up" from that food.

Chef Phil insisted that he would try to make it taste good as it was all dependent on "flavour control" - and Schofield gushed: "If anyone can make it lovely it would be you."

It comes after Holly issued a cheeky dig at Piers Morgan ahead of the launch of his new show tonight.

Discussing comments that Donlad Trump makes in his interview suggesting that the Queen should strip the Duke and Duchess of Sussex of their titles, Holly and Phil were joined by Gyles Brandreth and Camilla Tominey.

Speaking of Trump, Holly said pointedly: "He's never a fan of Meghan, has he? Right from the get-go he's been quite opinionated. He seems to blame her for all of it."

"Also, he's talking to Piers Morgan who isn't a fan of Meghan either," Camilla remarked.

Raising her eyebrows, Holly said: "Not much balance in that chat."
