Phillip Schofield has been branded an "obnoxious, horrible man" by a fellow TV star as his position on This Morning looks increasingly precarious.
Kim Woodburn – best known for How Clean is Your House – told GB News that Schofield "absolutely sniggered" at her during a previous appearance on the iconic ITV magazine programme. The 81-year-old also claims that the presenter was deliberately unhelpful when she asked for tickets to Dancing On Ice to see a friend skate.
In an interview with the TV channel, Kim slammed him as a "cruel, brutal little man" who is "full of himself", the Mirror reports. Her comments come as Schofield could step aside from This Morning amid a reported feud with fellow presenter Holly Willoughby.
Kim said: "I have had so many run-ins. He is an obnoxious, horrible man and I don't know why he's still on television.
"I went on his show and he insulted me, he was rude, he was horrible. He was laughing at me - he was absolutely sniggering at me."
On the Dancing On Ice issue, she added: "I couldn't get in to see my friend skating recently. He said, 'Would you come on the night?' I said, 'Certainly I will'.
"And then it turned out that Phillip did not want me on the show because he would go among the audience and chat, and if I was in the front row, he thought I might say something to him. I wouldn't - it was my friend's show. But that's how hard it's got. And that's how powerful he is.
"He should not be on television. He is a cruel, brutal, little man and he's full of himself."
Schofield, 61, has been accused of exacerbating issues behind the scenes at ITV after he released a statement seemingly confirming a feud between him and 42-year-old Willoughby. The pair's on-screen and off-screen partnership has been tested by a number of recent scandals, including accusations of jumping the queue at Queen Elizabeth II's lying in state and Schofield's brother Timothy being convicted of 11 child sex offences.
Phillip told The Sun: "As I have said before, Holly is my rock. We're the best of friends -- as always, she is an incredible support on screen, behind the scenes and on the phone.
"Holly has always been there for me, through thick and thin. And I've been there for her. The last few weeks haven't been easy for either of us.
"And Holly's support throughout meant the world to me, as did the support of my bosses at ITV, my editor Martin Frizell and the whole This Morning family, including our amazing viewers."
