While their future on This Morning doesn't look to be an doubt, despite the controversy surrounding them at present and a petition being set up to get the axed, Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby's potential replacements have been revealed, with Vernon Kay and Rochelle Humes the favourites.
Phillip and Holly are facing a huge backlash from ITV viewers over the 'queue jump' accusations levelled against them over their visit to Westminster Hall, where the Queen was lying in state last week before her funeral. While hundreds of thousands of people queued up, some for 14 hours, to see Her Majesty's coffin, Holly and Phillip managed to access the Hall without having to stand in a long line.
They were spotted inside by people watching the BBC's lying in state live stream and their appearance immediately sparked controversy online as viewers realised that they hadn't been in the queue with everyone else, including stars like David Beckham, Susanna Reid and Kelly Holmes. This Morning issued a statement a day later, saying Phillip and Holly had been given access as "members of the world's media," but that did little to quell the anger aimed at them.

Holly then addressed the allegations on air at the start of Tuesday's This Morning. Giving her version of events, she said: "The rules were were that we'd be quickly escorted round the edges to a platform at the back. In contrast, those paying respects walked along a carpeted area beside the coffin and were given time to pause. None of the broadcasters and journalists there took anyone's place in the queue and no-one of course filed past the Queen."
She ended: "We of course respected those rules, however we realise it may have looked like something else and therefore we totally understand the reaction. Please know that we would never jump a queue."
Holly's denial hasn't stopped bookies William Hill from publishing odds on who they think could replace them if This Morning bosses listen to calls to axe them and it's Vernon and Rochelle, who hosted together over the summer who are the frontrunners on 2/1. Just behind them and both on 4/1 are Dermot O'Leary and Josie Gibson, with Craig Doyle, Alison Hammond and Ruth Langsford all on 5/1, the same odds as Saturday star turned radio presenter Mollie King.
