Brentford director of football Phil Giles says the decision to appoint Keith Andrews as head coach was driven by a desire for continuity after the departure of long-serving head coach Thomas Frank.

Frank left Brentford after seven years for Tottenham Hotspur at the start of June, and his departure has caused a degree of uncertainty, with captain Christian Norgaard and 20-goal forward Bryan Mbeumo also set to leave.
