Ben Lewis, the celebrated Australian stage star best known for his haunting turn as the Phantom in The Phantom of the Opera and its sequel Love Never Dies, has died aged 46.

The acclaimed performer passed away on Monday, 6 October, in Sydney after a courageous battle with bowel cancer.
