PGL Wallachia Season 7: Schedule, results, standings, teams, and more

The PGL Wallachia Season 7 brings 16 of the world’s top Dota 2 teams to the Romanian capital of Bucharest, fighting it out for the lion’s share of a $1 million prize pool.

MOUZ are out to defend their crown after capturing their first-ever tier 1 Dota 2 title in the previous season. Standing in their way are Tundra Esports. Even without star carry Ivan “Pure” Moskalenko, Tundra remain one of the teams to watch as they aim to sustain the momentum from their recent victory at DreamLeague Season 28.

Heavy contenders like Team Liquid, Team Falcons, Xtreme Gaming, and Team Spirit are also in the mix, making the battle for the title even more intense. Here’s everything you need to know about PGL Wallachia Season 7.

PGL Wallachia Season 7 format

The tournament begins with a group stage featuring the 16 teams competing in a modified Swiss-system. All matches here are best-of-three, and teams face opponents with similar records as the rounds progress. The top eight teams advance to the playoffs, while the remaining teams are eliminated, ensuring only the most consistent squads move forward, which fans of esports bookmakers keep an eye on.

Come the playoffs, the remaining eight teams compete in a double-elimination bracket. Teams battle in BO3 series, culminating in a best-of-five grand final for the championship title.
