Winners of golf’s four majors and The Players Championship will receive the same rewards as victors in elite Championship Series events under a new competition structure outlined by the PGA Tour as it prepares to transition to a two-tier system in 2028.
The tour detailed the entry requirements for both the top-tier Championship Series and the lower-tier Challenger Series, alongside a transitional framework determining how fields will be populated during the inaugural season under the split model, which separates the divisions by field strength and purse size.
