Golf fans have some exciting news to look forward to — PGA Tour 2K25 is finally making its way to the Nintendo Switch 2 early next year. The release date is set to be in February 2026, which marks the series’ long-awaited return to the Nintendo platform.
The big news is that 2K is trimming down the game for the Switch 2, unlike previous entries. The improved hardware on the Switch 2 is more than capable of giving the full PGA Tour 2K25 experience. That means players on Switch 2 will get the same core features available on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC — including MyCAREER, online and offline multiplayer, cross-platform Societies, and the fan-favorite Course Designer.
It’s shaping up to be a rare moment where Switch owners don’t have to settle for a trimmed-down sports title.
No Corners Cut, Switch 2 Gets The Best Of PGA Tour 2K25

One of the most exciting confirmations is that the Switch 2 edition includes EvoSwing, the newer swing system that adds more precision and realism to every shot. It’s a new feature in PGA Tour 2K25 that fans have praised. It gives players more control over how they take their shots. You have deeper control over swing angles, ball behaviour, and shot types. Thankfully, they didn’t remove this feature for the Switch 2 port.
The port won’t miss out on content either. The Switch 2 version will feature all the major tournaments licensed under the PGA Tour banner. It includes season-long events, major championships, and the classic career mode where you build your own golfer.
The defining feature of PGA Tour 2K25, the Course Designer, is also making its way to the Switch 2. For those unfamiliar, the Course Designer allows players to create their own courses and share them with the community.
Speaking of community, the Switch 2 version will have full cross-platform support. You are not going to be locked into a separate ecosystem. You can play with your friends regardless of what platform they are on.
With its February launch, PGA TOUR 2K25 is shaping up to be one of the most complete sports sims available on Nintendo’s next-gen console.
