PGA Championship Weather Forecast 2024: Latest Update From Valhalla

Flags flutter in the breeze near the Valhalla clubhouse.

Weather often plays a part in determining the winner of golf’s Majors, so what can players expect for the weekend at the PGA Championship?

Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky, is hosting the world's best for the second men’s Major of the year and with the likes of Xander Schauffele, Collin Morikawa and Scottie Scheffler riding high on the leaderboard, the final two rounds have all the hallmarks of a classic.

The second round couldn't be completed on Friday after a traffic accident delayed the start by 1hr 20mins, and fog delayed it's resumption on Saturday. However, the good news is that after some rainy conditions on Friday, the sun is forecast to return once the fog clears for Saturday and Sunday's play, although the threat of showers remains.

Rory McIlroy claimed his fourth Major and second PGA Championship at the same venue in near darkness a decade ago after weather delays, but there doesn't appear much chance of a repeat as the 2024 edition draws to a close, with just a 20% chance of rain expected during the final round.

PGA Championship Weather 2024: Full Forecast

Saturday: Fog will burn off by 8am-9am. There will be partly cloudy skies and warm temperatures, with highs in the low 80s. There could be an isolated shower or thunderstorm in the afternoon. Any storms that do develop will be slow-moving and could produce heavy rainfall in a short period of time.

Sunday: The final day is looking like  the hottest of the week, approaching the mid-80s and featuring just a light wind. There is a 20% chance of rain.
