The first round of the 2026 PGA Championship is in the books and the leaderboard is plenty crowded.
Defending champion Scottie Scheffler shot an opening 3-under-par 67 to lead with six other players, which isn't surprising except for one fact: the world No. 1 had never led or co-led after the first round of a major until now. He's joined at the top by Ryo Hisatsune, Stephan Jaeger, Martin Kaymer, Min Woo Lee, Aldrich Potgieter and Alex Smalley.
After that seven-man lead pack are seven more players at 2 under par, including major champions Shane Lowry, Patrick Reed and Xander Schauffele.
The stunners at the other end of the leaderboard? Rory McIlroy shot 4-over 74 and Bryson DeChambeau shot 76. They'll have plenty of work to do Friday to make the cut, which is the low 70 players and ties.
Get caught up on Thursday's action below, and we will see you back here Friday for live updates during Round 2.
