PFL lightweight Jeremy Stephens resorted to shaving his head and beard to make the weight limit for his fight against Myles Price.
Stephens was the last fighter to weigh-in for this Friday’s PFL event in Atlanta. With just 10 minutes left of the weigh-in window, 'Lil Heathen' stepped on the scale with a bald head and shaven beard whilst also using the towel to hit the 156lb mark.
The former UFC veteran has missed weight twice in his professional career, but never at lightweight. He weighed in 4.5lb overweight for a featherweight clash against Calvin Kattar in 2020 and 3.5lb heavy for his knockout win against Dennis Bermudez in 2015.
Stephens is looking for his first win of this year's PFL season after losing out to Clay Collard in April. The 36-year-old signed with PFL in January following a near 15-year tenure in the UFC, racking up over 30 fights in that time.
Stephens is known for his exciting fighting style but he is without a win in the cage for over four years. His last six fights have all gone against him, but Stephens has promised to make a statement against Price on Friday night and remind people what he is capable of.
“Friday is going to be a big huge statement for people to remember who the f*** I truly am and what I really do and the type of violence and the type of energy that I bring to the sport,” Stephens told MMA Junkie Radio.
“I’ve never went to the back of a UFC or even PFL [fight] and heard, ‘you f***ing suck. Oh that was a terrible fight. That was boring.’ I never heard that. The only thing I’ve ever heard is, ‘Jeremy, we love you.'”

“I didn’t realise how many fans and how many people really, truly followed me, and I inspired throughout over the years. Until I left the UFC. Until that door closed, another door opened, I was like, ‘Wow, people do really enjoy my fights,' They really are my fans. They really follow me over here to the PFL."
“Some people didn’t even know what the PFL was, but they’re like, 'we’ve got your back.’ They’re tuning in, and that’s the type of love that I’m really carrying over. Friday night is going to be another big statement and remind people who the f*** Jeremy Stephens truly is. That’s a very dangerous, very violent, skilled, sharp, smooth-looking motherf*****.”
