Stiliyan Petrov reckons Ange Postecoglou will stay at Celtic for "another few years" but admits he expects links to the vacant Leicester City post.
The former Celtic midfielder is hopeful Postecoglou will remain at Celtic going forward and is confident the Aussie boss is invested in the project at Parkhead.
However, Petrov admits that immediate links with Leceister City are to be expected after Brendan Rodgers left the Premier League side.
The former Celtic manager parted ways with Leicester this afternoon with the club in the midst of a serious relegation battle.
And announcing the breaking news during coverage of Celtic's win over Ross County, Petrov was afforded time to explain his thoughts on Postecoglou's position.
While speculation and links with a Premier League job are understandable for Petrov, he reckons Postecoglou's head won't be turned.
On Sky Sports, Petrov said: "Of course. Good managers and good players they always get linked with big clubs especially down in the Premier League.
"But I believe he is doing a great job at Celtic and he will stay because it's about the project.
"I think you've got the power, the players that he believes can play the style he preaches so I'm not surprised but I believe he will stay for another few years."
Rodgers leaves Leicester after four years at the helm following his switch from Celtic.
Assistant manager Chris Davies and fitness coach Glen Driscoll will also leave the club along with Rodgers.
First-team coaches Adam Sadler and Mike Stowell have been placed in charge on an interim basis.
