NEW DELHI: The economic crisis in Pakistan has posed severe challenges for the government as it grapples with high inflation, sliding forex reserves, a widening current account deficit and a depreciating currency.
Amidst such a crisis, the cash-strapped economy has turned to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to restore a bailout programme that was suspended after former Prime Minister Imran Khan resigned earlier this year.
