NAGPUR: Fuel prices have gone up after a gap of four months and 21 days. After a steady rise, the rates of petrol and diesel were cut by Rs10 and Rs5 a litre respectively on November 3, to give relief to consumers. The rates were increased by 84 paise each on Monday. This takes the rates to Rs 110.55 and Rs93.37 a litre for petrol and diesel respectively in the city. Even cooking gas price has touched Rs1,000 a cylinder, said sources in oil marketing companies.
The revised prices were issued late in the night. Normally, the new rates for the coming day are released by 8 or 8.30pm. On Monday, retailers got the message only close to midnight.
