A petition calling on the Government to extend the £650 one-off cost-of-living payment to those on disability benefits has received more than 10,000 signatures, forcing the Government to give a response.
The online petition states that all disabled people and unpaid carers should receive the payment, adding: "We have larger utility bills and food costs when compared to non-disabled people. We rely on these utilities and food to stay alive."
Set up by Abigail Broomfield, the petition has already received 10,601 signatures. At 100,000 signatures, the topic will be considered for debate in Parliament.
