Former Manchester United and City goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel has slammed Real Madrid for the manner of their victory on Wednesday night in the Champions League.
Man City travelled to the Bernabeu in control of the tie, after a 4-3 win at the Etihad, and went 5-3 in front through Riyad Mahrez with less than 20 minutes to go. But as the game edged towards the 90th minute, momentum completely swung against the Blues.
Substitute Rodrygo equalised in the last minute of normal time before adding his second moments later, to send the game to extra time. Real's comeback was complete five minutes into the first period of extra time when Ruben Dias conceded a penalty for a foul on Karim Benzema.
