The wait is almost over for Peter Kay fans - with his first new tour in 12 years set to get underway right here in Manchester. Tickets for the Manchester AO Arena dates, alongside a raft of shows at venues across the UK, will all go on general sale on Saturday morning at 10am.
It follows a frenzied pre-sale on Thursday when more dates were freshly announced by the Bolton comedy superstar, including seven new dates at Manchester's AO Arena stretching through to 2023. Arena bosses have issued fresh guidance this week to help people prepare themselves for the Peter Kay tour going on general sale on Saturday.
That includes a warning from the arena that NO ticket sales will be bookable via the arena's on-site ticket office in Manchester. All tickets must be purchased online through the tour's main ticket selling agents, the links to which can be found here for Ticketmaster, and here for SeeTickets.

Arena bosses are also urging fans not to purchase tickets from re-sale sites. They say only tickets purchased through the official ticket sales companies can be guaranteed to be genuine.
And they've encouraged anyone gearing up to click refresh on Saturday morning to make sure they have created a Ticketmaster account already, or updated their login details to ensure it has current payment card details, to ensure the best and smoothest possible chance of securing tickets on what is set to be a frenzied morning on the sites.
They issued a guidance notice on all of their social media accounts on Friday to assist fans preparing for the on-sale.

How much are tickets?
Kay promised to keep his tickets affordable amid the cost of living crisis, with tickets starting in price at £35 . This is the same price as his last record-breaking tour back in 2010.
Announcing the tour, he said: "With the cost of living at an all-time high, ticket prices are starting from £35. The same price they were on my previous tour in 2010".
Tickets will be available to buy from 10am on Saturday November 11 via Ticketmaster and See Tickets.
