Peter Kay revealed his Irish mother was worried about him after hearing how many nights he has booked for his return tour.
The comedian, 49, is making a comeback for the first time in over a decade, with gigs nationwide in the UK and Ireland next year.
And he told his mum rang him with concerns, after the news was revealed during an ad break for I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! on Sunday night.

Speaking on the Zoe Ball Breakfast Show on BBC Radio 2, this week, the comic said: “Honestly, my mum rang on Sunday night after that advert went on and said, 'how many nights are you doing?'."
Putting on an Irish accent to imitate his mum, Deirdre, who hails from Coalisland in Co Tyrone, he went on: “And she said ‘you’re doing 11’, because she counted the cities. I said I'm doing more than 11. She said, ‘you said you were doing two’. I said no, that’s the first nights in Manchester.
Peter said she told him: "Ah Peter, that's a lot of nights."
"I said, It's a tour."
He went on to explain his mother’s concern about how he would get home from the gigs, saying: “She said, ‘how are you going to get home from Manchester?'"
"I said, 'I'm going to drive' and she said, 'You're driving yourself? Oh Peter!’
"I thought, I'm 49, I'm not nine... I can drive home."
She said: “You shouldn’t be driving home.”
The actor and comedian hasn’t toured in 12 years and cancelled his last 14 dates in 2017 due to unforeseen family circumstances.
Announcing his return, he said: “It’s good to get back to what I love doing best, stand-up comedy and if there’s ever a time people need a laugh it’s now.
“And with the cost of living at an all-time high, ticket prices are starting from £35.
“The same price they were on my previous tour in 2010.”
The savvy comic revealed he and his friend Matt filmed his TV advertisement at his mother’s house on their phones.
Explaining the behind the scenes of filming the clip, in which he delivers a roll of carpet to his mum, he said: “I said we should put it on during I’m a Celebrity because it will take people by surprise.
“We filmed it, myself and my friend Matt, we were editing it at our house, he filmed it on his iPhone, it was my cab, it was my mum’s house, I put my iPhone down my shorts and put it on voice memo so it filmed the sound.
Kay will play the SSE Arena in Belfast on Thursday February 23, 2023, and Friday February 24, 2023.
He will play Dublin’s 3Arena on April 6 and April 7,2023.
