Comedy icon Peter Kay has aimed a cheeky jibe at Matt Hancock while thanking fans for their support after seeing huge demand for tickets for his upcoming tour. Tickets for the 'Better Late Than Never' tour went on sale this morning (November 12) with hundreds of thousands of fans queueing online to get their hands on one.
The tickets were so in demand that the Bolton comedian added new dates for the tour in 2024 and 2025, while websites struggled to cope with the number of people attempting to get their hands on one. Peter, who is returning to the stage for his first tour in 12 years, has been delighted by the reaction.
And in a post online thanking fans for their support, he took the opportunity to have a dig at I'm a Celebrity contestant Matt Hancock. The controversial former Health Secretary, who stepped down in June 2021 after being caught having an affair during lockdown, has left many fans of the ITV series fuming during his appearances on the show.
