Peter Crouch joked about the suspicions of players who contacting Erik ten Hag to wish him well on arrival as Manchester United manager.

Ten Hag was introduced to the media on Monday after being officially announced as the next boss of United last month. The Dutchman has signed a three-year deal which has an option for the Reds to extend his contract should they wish to.

Since arriving at Old Trafford, Ten Hag has revealed that a number of United players have already reached out to him over WhatsApp, welcoming him to the club. This comes as the former Ajax man is set to make wholesale changes to the squad in the summer after a disappointing campaign.
