Peter Andre shares heartbreak as he says mum's health is 'really declining'

Peter Andre says it makes him "sad" to get older as his mum's health is "really declining".

The Mysterious Girl singer, 49, is one year away from turning 50 - and he is loving his life.

But at the back of his mind, there is one huge worry hanging over him.

The doting dad-of-four says as his beloved mum Thea gets older, her health is getting worse.

Writing in his weekly New magazine column, the singer explained: "I feel great about being a year away from 50. I dreaded turning 40 but actually my forties have been really amazing, I feel relaxed, and in a very happy place career wise and personally.

"The only thing that worries me about turning another year older is that my parents are getting older and my mum's health is really declining, which makes me sad.

"But everything else is going well and I feel great."

It comes after Peter shared his excitement to go home and see his family.

Peter, who was born in London and grew up in Australia, has been dreaming of a family reunion ever since the pandemic struck in March 2020.

The TV star recently said he was considering moving back, but said it would be difficult because of his UK-based children.

Peter has been riddled with concern over his elderly parents who are still in Australia all throughout the coronavirus pandemic, but he'll now be able to finally reunite with them after a tough 24 months.

Sharing a breaking news article from BBC at the time, Peter gushed: "I am so, so, so, happy."

Pete's parents have been unable to travel from Australia due to the fact the government has enforced a strict ban on most international travel.

So, in a final attempt to reunite with his dear folks, Peter took it upon himself to contact the Australian embassy in the hopes that they would let him fly to see his mum Thea, who at the time was 'not very well'.

Opening up about his heartache in his New column last year, Peter insisted that his parents were his ‘main priority’.

"My number one priority this year is to go and see my mum and dad in Australia, as I miss them too much," he penned at the time.
