Peter Andre shares details about wife Emily's pregnancy and due date as singer prepares to welcome fifth child

Peter Andre, 50, has praised his wife Emily MacDonagh, 34, as the couple prepare to welcome their third child together.

The pair, who married in 2015, announced that they were expecting for the third time late last year and now the Mysterious Girl hitmaker has revealed their new baby’s due date is looming closer.

Appearing on Wednesday's Good Morning Britain, host Susanna Reid asked Andre how MacDonagh was doing.

The Australian performer shared: “She's good, I really have a lot of respect when you see what they go through.”

Reid went on to ask: "How many weeks now until?" to which Andre revealed: “Probably eight or nine!”

Reid’s co-host Richard Madeley inquired: “Do you know what you're having?”. Having fun with the presenter, Andre: “A baby!”, before adding: “No, we haven't, this is the first time [we haven't found out] because this is the last time we're having a child... I think!”

The Insania singer then confirmed that the couple aren’t finding out the baby’s gender, saying: “We're going to have a surprise this time. So lovely!”

Andre also insisted they are expecting only one child after the ITV broadcasters joked if it was triplets or twins. He insisted: “Oh gosh, don't say that... just one [baby]!”

The TV personality shares Amelia, 10, and Theo, seven, with MacDonagh and is father to Junior, 18, and Princess, 16, from his marriage to Katie Price.

In December, the Aussie star revealed that he rushed to be by his wife's side in hospital just moments before he was due to go on stage.

Everything was fortunately OK and he told The Standard last month that his other half is taking her impending motherhood in her stride.

He said; "Emily's great. She takes pregnancy in her stride, she’s brilliant.

"The thing is it really makes you respect a mum and what she has to go through. She has to do all of the work before the baby is born and I’m very hands on but there’s only so much I can do, you know, if she chooses to breast feed and everything I can only do so much, but she’s great."

Asked how the rest of their brood were feeling about getting a new brother or sister, he said they were "buzzing".
