Peter Andre’s wife, Emily MacDonagh, shared a snap of the family’s Christmas tree, after their six-year-old son Theo helped her decorate the house for the festive period. Emily, 33, and Theo spent Saturday afternoon putting their Christmas tree up, adorning it with silver baubles and ribbons.
She captioned the Instagram post: “Theo getting ready for daddy coming home, we missed you! @peterandre ps. I know it's November but we couldn't resist.”
It’s rare that the couple share images of Theo on social media, so Emily’s followers were pleased to see him feature on her grid. One person wrote: “Oh this is so sweet and such lovely words, bless Theo”, with another typing: “He’s such a beautiful boy”.
Others were quick to compliment Emily on the tree, with one fan commenting: “A beautiful tree it is too. Sure Pete will feel the love”, while a fourth typed: “What a beautifully decorated tree! Love it x.”
The Andre family will not have long to enjoy the decorations, as Peter revealed his imminent plans to go over to Australia with their children, due to his mother’s ill health.
The singer, 49, said that the family will be going over in December, once his UK work commitments are complete and will be staying there for “as long as possible”.
Peter did admit that he has struggled to arrange the move due to his children's school arrangements. Amelia, eight, and Theo, six, will be joining their parents, alongside older half-siblings, Junior, 17, and Princess, 15, who Peter shares with ex-wife Katie Price.
Peter revealed his plans to go to Australia in his new! magazine column, writing: “If it all goes to plan, it'll be December and we'll all be going to Oz as a family.
“We want to get out there as soon as we can and stay for as long as possible, but it's tricky with the kids' school. They have different timings, which makes it complicated.”
He hopes to spend “as much time as possible” with his mother, Thea, 86, and his father, Savvas, 89, due to his mum’s declining health.
Peter admitted in September that he is finding it hard to watch his mother “suffering, struggling and declining” from old age, and that it has left him feeling “sad” watching her health decline.
