Peter Andre reveals bombshell plan to move family to Australia for 'as long as possible'

Peter Andre has revealed his plans to move his family to Australia 'for as long as possible' after he finishes his work commitments.

The Mysterious Girl singer is currently performing on stage as Teen Angel in Grease and filming for his upcoming movie.

The 49-year-old shares Junior, 17, and Princess, 15, with ex-wife Katie Price and Amelia, eight, and Theor, five, with his doctor spouse Emily MacDonagh.

"If it all goes to plan, it'll be December and we'll all be going to Oz as a family," Peter said in his column for new magazine.

"We want to get out there as soon as we can and stay for as long as possible, but it's tricky with the kids' school," the dad admitted.

He added: "They have different timings, which makes it complicated."

Peter was raised in Australia by his Greek Cypriot parents before relocating to the UK after finding fame as a 90s pop star.
The singer still holds the country close to his heart and has a holiday home Down Under which he spends time at in the summer months.

Back in March, Peter travelled back home to Australia to see his mum Thea.

He expressed his excitement on Instagram as he posted a selfie with his beloved mother.

Peter kissed her cheek and was beaming with joy in the photo - much like his mother.

The star wrote alongside the snap: "These last few days with my mum have been the greatest days in many many years.

"I can't begin to express how I feel to be with her. I'm happy now."

Previously, he wrote in his weekly New magazine column about his mother's 'declining' health.

He wrote: "I feel great about being a year away from 50. I dreaded turning 40 but actually my forties have been really amazing, I feel relaxed, and in a very happy place career wise and personally.

"The only thing that worries me about turning another year older is that my parents are getting older and my mum's health is really declining, which makes me sad.

"But everything else is going well and I feel great."

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Peter wasn't able to fly to Australia for over two years.

The Australian government imposed some of the world's strictest travel bans after shutting itself off in March 2020.

After the borders finally opened, Peter shared his joy on Instagram.

Sharing the breaking news article from BBC, Peter gushed: "I am so, so, so, happy."

Peter's latest admission is not the first time he has spoken about wanting to move back home.

In 2022 he said the relocation was 'on his mind' .

Writing in his New magazine column Peter opened up about the idea after reports Kylie Minogue had return to her native Australia.

He wrote: "It's funny because Kylie is 53 and I'm 48 and I'm starting to get to that point where it's in my mind about moving back there too.

"Obviously my reason is because my mum and dad are there - but my children and family are here, so it's not an easy thing.

"My kids might have kids, and they might be based in the UK, and these are all things I need to weigh up as I want to be where my family are."
