Peter Andre is daughter Princess' double in throwback snap showing natural curly hair

Peter Andre made fans do a double take on Thursday as he posted a throwback snap of himself rocking his natural curls.

The singer, 49, was confused for his daughter Princess, 15, as his followers were so unused to seeing him with the ringlet hairstyle.

Uploading the black and white photograph, Pete captioned the shot: "Mysterious curls: Throwback Thursday with my awesome cousin back in early 90s".

And his followers couldn't believe how similar the Mysterious Girl hitmaker's facial features were to his eldest daughter's.

One wrote in the comment section: "I thought at a quick first glance it was Princess! Hope all good with you x".

Another fan type: "Explains where Princess gets her curls from!", while a third chimed: "Princess looks so much like you in this photo".

A fourth added: "With a mixture between yours and Katies curls, no wonder Princess has such beautiful hair, great pic of you Mr A."

Despite years of therapy, Peter can’t leave the house without straightening the curls that made him a target of racist bullies, who tormented him because of his Greek heritage.

Peter, whose family moved to Australia from Harrow, in North West London, when he was six, exclusively told The Mirror last month: “In the early years in Australia, I suffered a lot of racism. It was a rough time.

“Not only were we the only Greeks on the Gold Coast, but I had an English accent, curly hair, a big nose – and we really stood out. I still straighten my hair because the curly hair reminds me of me being that little kid and those kids calling me what they did at school.”

The jibes cut so deep, the emotional scars are clear, even four decades on.

He says: “I wouldn’t just turn up to an event with full curly hair. I just can’t bring myself to do it, even now, and I’ve had therapy. I still see what those kids called me when I look in the mirror.”
