Peter Andre has officially been confirmed to headline London’s New Year’s Day Parade.
The Australian singer, 51, is expected to perform his hits including Mysterious Girl, Flava, All About Us and Natural, over the 2-mile route through London’s West End.
The completely free event will kick off at midday, near the Ritz Hotel and Green Park Station, and the festivities will take in Parliament Square, Piccadilly Circus, Regent Street, St James’, Trafalgar Square and Whitehall.
Former I’m A Celebrity star Andre says he feels “honoured” to be involved but will face a race against time to get to the capital after ringing in the New Year in Dubai for another work commitment.
He said: “It will be a New Year’s honour headlining such an incredible event, for an enormous global audience on January 1st, is going to be such brilliant fun – and it’s free for London to come and watch, and those watching on TV around the World.
“2025 is going to be a great year career wise for me with films and new music coming out. I can’t wait!”
Parade Executive Director Joe Bone said: “Peter Andre is world class, and bound to entertain London, and the millions watching at home.
“We wanted to give him our very own New Year’s honour, asking him to headline London’s celebrations and of course, he jumped at the chance, even though he was appearing at the Burj al-Arab on New Year’s Eve.”
“As ever, we’ve packed the parade, with tip top talent, there’s something for everyone and of all ages.”
He added: “Make sure to secure you place early – it’s going to be a busy one!”
Promising a spectacular “packed full of performance, entertainment, music, dance and community involvement:, singers Rika, and BGT finalist Connie Talbot will also join Andre in the line-up.
Plus, there will be 19 magnificent marching bands from the USA, dance groups, cheerleaders.
More than a dozen London boroughs will be submitting entertaining entries, celebrating the verve, creativity and spirit that this great city has to offer.
They will be competing for a prize pot of tens of thousands of pounds for their respective mayoral charities benefiting wonderful causes across the Capital.
