Peter Andre has cashed in on renewed coverage of Rebekah Vardy 's chipolata remark amid the ' Wagatha Christie ' trial - by becoming the face of Beyond Meat's 'BBQ Beyond' campaign.
The 49-year old posed with vegan sausages and burgers at the launch, offering tips on how people can create, cook and host a summer BBQ using plant-based products.
In proceedings at London’s High Court last week, Rebekah took to the stand to admit she was sorry for the way in which she described Peter's manhood in 2004.
Discussing her News of the World kiss-and-tell expose - which carried the headline "Peter's hung like a small chipolata, shaved, slobbery, lasts five minutes" - she said she "deeply regretted" selling her story.
Peter was said to be angry that he was dragged into the trial and according to an insider was struggling with the resurfaced story - years after it originally circulated.
"Peter is livid. This whole thing has been really hard on him and the family, but it's made him think about the wider story - and that is that other people shouldn't be allowed to talk about others in this way," the source told new! magazine.
"It's so discriminating to say this about a man - this kind of thing would not be said about a woman. His children have been asking what the story is about, which is really difficult."
The Mysterious Girl star has since taken to social media to have his say on the matter for the first time.
In a video on Instagram he said: "Do you know how hard it is to keep biting my lip on situations?
"But the way I look at it, most people saw in the jungle how an acorn turned into an oak so I think I’m okay.
He added: "At least she has now admitted it wasn’t true. And was forced to say it."
Peter has also hit out at critics who have seen him in action in the West End production of Grease: The Musical.
The star has a bit-part in the revived musical, which sees him take on the part of Vince Fontaine – played by Edd Byrnes in the 1978 classic film.
And while fans and some critics have been absolutely thrilled by the latest adaptation – currently playing at London’s Dominion Theatre – others have not been won over by the performances.
Writing in his weekly column for new! magazine, he said: "I understand both sides. But to me, it speaks for itself that every show is full and we are getting a standing ovation every night."
