Pete Price 'in fear of his life' after missing Jamie Webster gig

Pete Price has told his social media followers he was "in fear of [his] life" on Thursday night after feeling forced to miss watching Jamie Webster perform at the Pier Head.

Scouse singing sensation Jamie performed at On The Waterfront last night, with fans getting another chance to see him live this evening (Friday). Radio presenter Pete said he had "really wanted to see this talented fabulous young man".

However, he said he was told not to as he "could be verbally attacked", and instead got the train home.

Pete didn't make it clear who had told him he shouldn't go to the concert in the tweet to his followers.

During his journey Pete said he was "abused and followed" as well as being filmed, leaving him fearing for his life. He added: "What have I done wrong? You want a photo, ask!"

Pete said the man swore at him, before adding: "Thank God I lost him. I really wanted to see this amazing talent @JamieWebster94 and more than anything I really want to interview him. He’s a MEGA talent".

Many fans rushed to offer him support. @Fitzkop1 said: "Hope you're ok Pete", while Billy said: "Top man Pete, don't forget that". Sharon said: "That’s horrible Pete. Yes, they should ask.

"I would be extremely upset if someone was in my face taking photos. Just because you are a celebrity it doesn’t mean that you can have idiots being horrible to you. Bloody disgusting xx"
