Pete Hegseth, President-elect Donald Trump’s pick to lead the Pentagon, appeared before the Senate Armed Services committee on Tuesday for his hearing. During the hearing, Hegseth did not respond to a question regarding whether all members of the panel should have access to the FBI background report on him.
It is noted that the chairman and ranking member of the committee have been granted the opportunity to review the report, which aligns with standard practice. However, Democrats on the panel have expressed concerns about the report's thoroughness and their lack of access to it.
