The former SNL comedian, 28, and the model, 31, are said to be “in the very early stages” of dating and “really like each other”.
A source told Us Weekly that the pair “have been talking for a couple months now” after being set up by mutual friends.
The insider also claimed that the King of Staten Island star “loves how intelligent [Emily] is” while Ratajkowski is enamoured by his humour, saying: “Pete makes Emily laugh”.
The Standard has contacted Ratajkowski’s and Davidson’s representatives for comment.
The report comes days after rumours of a relationship between the pair first began when celebrity gossip account DeuxMoi posted an alleged sighting of them “all over” one another in Brooklyn on Sunday.
The anonymous submission read: “Can’t believe I’m saying this anon pls. Emrate and Pete Davidson on a date in Brooklyn together.
“Holding hands and all. His hands were all over her and they’re clearly hooking up.”
Fans took to social media in their droves to react to the news – which didn’t come to a surprise to most given Davidson’s dating history.
One tweeted: “Someone needs to do an thesis study on how Pete Davidson managed to score Ariana Grande, Kim Kardashian, and Emily Ratajkowski in the same lifetime.”
“Pete Davidson is real living proof that you can pull ANYONE if you’re funny enough,” another wrote.

A third added: “This man has successfully pulled some of the most sought after women in America. And I still don’t understand.”
“Recently divorced single moms are his new type huh,” another wrote, citing Davidson’s recent relationship with Kardashian who is in the midst of divorcing Kanye West.
Ratajkowski split with her husband of four years, Sebastian Bear-McClard, following claims that he cheated on her. The pair share son Sylvester, one.
Since their break-up, the Gone Girl actress has been linked with Brad Pitt. She was last believed to be dating DJ Orazio Rispo, who she was seen passionately kissing in NYC last month.
