Yesterday Jeff Darlington at ESPN caught up with Seahawks coach Pete Carroll, decked out in a Kraken jersey. Darlington asked Carroll if there’s more than one quarterback they’d be comfortable picking at No. 5 overall.
Carroll said the team would be “fired up” about two quarterback prospects if they are still available.

The consensus top-ranked QB in this class is Alabama’s Bryce Young, but his No. 1 overall projection combined with his size (he’s smaller than Russell Wilson) likely puts him off their board. Our best guess is that the two names are Florida’s Anthony Richardson and Ohio State’s C.J. Stroud.
Richardson is by far the most athletic QB in this class and has the highest ceiling. He is also dramatically inexperienced, though. Meanwhile, Stroud has been a Heisman runner-up two years in a row and excels at a lot of the same things Geno Smith does well on the field.
Then again, odds are both will be off the board by the time the Seahawks are on the clock. If we had to put money on any one prospect it would be Georgia defensive tackle Jalen Carter – who is both the best overall player in this draft class and the odds-on favorite to be taken fifth overall.
