A Perth care home has been voted among the top 20 for the whole of Scotland by its residents and their relatives.
Staff at Strathtay House are celebrating after their recognition in the Carehome.co.uk awards 2023 with reviews describing the 40-bed residence as a “home from home”.
Owned by health care company HC-One and located on Harley Place in North Muirton, the home received an overall rating of 9.9/10 based on independent reviews.
The awards highlight the high standards of care at Strathay, which specialises in residential and residential dementia services for the local community.
Carehome.co.uk, a UK care home directory and comparison website, holds its annual Care Home Awards to recognise the 20 top-rated care homes in each region of the UK.
The top ratings are based on individual review scores from residents, their friends, family and loved ones, demonstrating real life opinions and first-hand experiences from those most closely connected to the home.
Resident Carol M shared her experiences of living in Strathtay House on the review website, commenting that “my bedroom is a home from home”.
The sister of another resident posted to the review site that “our family are very happy staying here, and it is such a relief to know that they are safe and cared for with respect and joy”.
The care team at Strathtay House is delighted with the news and will be celebrating with residents and their loved ones.
