Personal insolvencies jumped by 8% month on month in April in England and Wales

The number of people going financially insolvent in England and Wales jumped in April, according to Insolvency Service figures.

Some 10,012 people entered insolvency in England and Wales last month, which was 8% higher than in March 2025 and 4% higher than in April 2024.
